Technical Support Engineer

I am representing a global broadcasting business recognised for their work within video platforms. Due to expansion they are looking for Technical Support Engineer to join them on a permanent basis, based in West London.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work within one of the most stunning offices in the UK, whilst gaining/furthering your experience within the Broadcasting sector.

The role...

  • Working in the Service Assurance team delivering support services for proprietary software components
  • Responding to platform incidents, updating the customer on investigations & providing detailed resolution reports
  • Feedback detailed analysis of any software defects to the development team, including project management where required.
  • Linux system administration
  • Installations of head-end components for both production and lab customer systems
  • Participate in new system deployments & take on new solution responsibility
  • Work within an on-call rota to provide 24/7 support escalation for high priority incidents (1 week in 4).

Requirement's...

  • Technical Support experience within IT (desktop, platform) or Broadcasting (VOD, OTT, STB) industry
  • Worked on various Hardware & Software platforms/components
  • Experience on some flavour of Linux ideally at system admin level
  • Knowledge of database technologies (ideally oracle)
  • Shell Scripting experience (Python is preference)
