Job description

PARTNER ENGINEER (CONNECTIVITY)

My client is a globally leading media company who are looking for a Partner Engineer to handle the technical relationship with their partners. You would be liaising with senior stakeholders / partners to draft roadmaps in order to provide affordable & efficient Internet access.

DUTIES

  • As a partner engineer you would be providing expertise / knowledge of platforms and underlying implementation
  • Working with partners to launch the internet.org service in their networks
  • Provide technical support and handle service outages whilst managing the technical relationship with ISP partners,
  • Drive partner requirements, bugs and feature requests with Product and Engineering.
  • Assist partners to leverage modern cloud infrastructure as a deployment platform for mission-critical network services.
  • Write documentation, samples, and other materials to share with the broader developer community

ESSENTIALS

  • Hands experience writing software for mission-critical environments.
  • Deployed software in an automated environment for cloud infrastructure.
  • Scripting and deployment automation (CI/CD) experience
  • SME in wireless technologies (2G/3G/4G/5G and WIFI).
  • Knowledge of access networks (air interface, backhaul)
  • Mobile network infrastructure and internet networking knowledge (core networking Layers 1-3)
  • Deep hands-on experience of Linux/UNIX systems, Internet protocol stack, system administration, deployment automation.
  • Hands-on experience on configuring and maintaining commons applications such as Apache, Memcached, Squid, MySQL, DHCP, NTP, SSH, DNS, SNMP
  • Good understanding of modern internet service architectures (load balancing, LAMP stack, CDNs), even if you haven't worked on one.

WHAT NEXT…

This is a 6 month contract (PAYE) with view to extend (benefits include; pension, free meals, annual leave, sick pay etc.). It's based out of London with flexible working and occasional travel.
