Cloud Platform Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to join a large financial services organisation. The role will be an initial 6 month contract and will be fully remote until the situation changes.

The selected candidate will be involved in designing, building, testing and development are clients cloud platform that supports millions of members everyday, whilst working on the most up to date technologies.

This role is inside IR35 so please bear this in mind when applying.

Key skills:

• Experience designing and architecting complex, enterprise-level infrastructure
• Experience working for large organisations (financial services would be beneficial)
• Designing, building and maintaining multi-stage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Git, CodePipeline, CodeDeploy and Terraform.
• Knowledge and/or experience with GitOps to manage cluster state and deployments within Kubernetes / OpenShift
• Using HashiCorp Vault for Secrets Management
• Using monitoring and/or observability technologies such as App Dynamics, Elastic Stack, Prometheus, DataDog, etc.
• Hands-on experience and provisioning of infrastructure and services using Terraform in AWS/Azure
• Software Development in at least one language (Python, JavaScript, Java, Golang, DSL, etc.)
• Hands-on delivery experience with multi-tenant Kubernetes / OpenShift Clusters (production experience preferable), with either
• Experience with Ansible
